The 49ers stayed unbeaten Sunday, surviving a 32–29 divisional game in Seattle to improve to 5–0.
Four takeaways and five sacks supplied the defensive foundation, but San Francisco still needed a fourth-quarter comeback. Trailing 26–21 entering the final period, the 49ers answered with a 12-play, 74-yard touchdown drive.
Seattle’s last chance ended when Cooper Kupp was stopped just short of the first-down marker on fourth down. San Francisco then ran out the clock.
For Saratoga fans following the nearby NFL club, the victory preserved a perfect start while showing how narrow the margin can be against a division rival. Turnovers made an enormous difference: all three of San Francisco’s first-half touchdowns followed Seattle giveaways, according to the Seahawks’ official postgame report.
The 49ers return to Levi’s Stadium to host Washington on Monday, October 19.
