Voters in the Saratoga Union School District get a second chance this week to hear from the five people running for three seats on its board.

The League of Women Voters of Southwest Santa Clara Valley hosts an online candidate forum from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13. Registration is through the League's event page. The district's four PTAs held an in-person forum at Redwood Middle School on Oct. 4.

The candidates are Eric Cao, Farnoush Drexel, Anna Goldberg, Catalina Rupert and Vidya R. Vineet, according to the League. Trustees are elected at large; the district is not divided into areas.

The Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters lists five current board members: Ramya Vasu and Melissa Stanis, whose seats are next up in 2028, and Cao, Cynthia Miller and Vineet, whose seats are on this year's ballot. Miller is not among the candidates.

The PreK-8 district serves parts of Saratoga, Monte Sereno and Los Gatos. It had 1,605 students in five schools in 2023-24, according to Ballotpedia's district profile, which draws on state data. Dr. Kenneth Geisick is superintendent.

The election is Nov. 3. Ballots have been mailed, and the county lists three drop boxes in Saratoga.
