For the Athletics, Jack Perkins took the loss, giving up six runs on five hits over five innings. He struck out nine batters but struggled to keep the game within reach. Scott Blewett pitched two-thirds of an inning without allowing a run, while Drew Rom and Yunior Tur also took the mound.

Rom surrendered three runs in one inning, and Tur allowed four runs over 2.1 innings.
