Aces fall in overtime

In the WNBA Semifinals - Game 3, A'ja Wilson scored 21 points and collected 10 rebounds, but the Las Vegas Aces lost to the Golden State Valkyries 87-77 in overtime Friday, October 9, 2026, at Michelob ULTRA Arena.

Kayla Thornton led the Valkyries with 18 points as Golden State completed the series with the status: GS wins series 3-0. The Valkyries clinched and advanced, while the Aces were eliminated.

Golden State erases halftime deficit

Las Vegas built an early advantage at home, taking the first quarter 19-16 and the second 26-20 for a 45-36 halftime lead. Chelsea Gray contributed five assists for the Aces, who held Golden State to 17 points in the third quarter while extending their lead to 52-36.

The Valkyries changed the game after halftime. Golden State outscored Las Vegas 17-7 in the third quarter, moving in front 53-52 after trailing by nine at the break. Kiah Stokes supplied 10 rebounds for Golden State, while Tiffany Hayes finished with four assists.

Overtime decides it

The Aces and Valkyries traded the lead in the fourth quarter. Las Vegas moved ahead 69-67, then Golden State went in front 71-69. Jackie Young's layup tied the score at 71-71, sending the game to overtime.

Golden State controlled the extra period, scoring the first four points and opening an 81-73 cushion. The Valkyries outscored the Aces 16-6 in overtime. Golden State added six more points at the free-throw line during the extra period, while Las Vegas got a driving layup from Wilson and a floating jump shot from Dana Evans.

Records

The victory moved the Golden State Valkyries to 32-12. The Las Vegas Aces fell to 31-13.
