Bass ends a back-and-forth finish

The Los Angeles Rams rallied from a 13-7 halftime deficit and tied Buffalo at 34 in the fourth quarter, but Tyler Bass' 45-yard field goal in the fifth period gave the visiting Bills a 37-34 overtime victory Monday at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. The Rams fell to 2-3, while Buffalo improved to 4-1.

Bass also supplied Buffalo's first two scores, making field goals from 49 and 23 yards in the opening period. The Bills held a 6-0 lead after one quarter before Los Angeles answered with Davante Adams' 4-yard touchdown reception from Matthew Stafford and Harrison Mevis' kick.

The Rams moved in front during the third period when Blake Corum scored on a 1-yard rush and Mevis added the kick. Buffalo answered with Keon Coleman's 7-yard touchdown catch from Josh Allen, though Bass' extra-point attempt failed, leaving the Bills ahead 19-14 after three quarters.

Los Angeles opened the fourth quarter with Puka Nacua's 2-yard touchdown reception from Stafford. The two-point pass conversion failed, and the Rams led 20-19 after the play. Allen then scored on a 1-yard rush, and his pass to Dalton Kincaid produced a two-point conversion for a 27-20 Buffalo advantage.
