A Fractured Inning Defines the Loss

The Milwaukee Brewers’ strategy unraveled completely during the sixth inning of their contest against the San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park. Entering the frame with a narrow 3-2 deficit, the visiting club found itself unable to contain the home-team offense. The collapse began when Koss reached base via a single to left field, driving in Adames to make it 4-2.

The damage accelerated immediately after Arraez singled to center, scoring Susac and advancing the previous runner to second.

Ramos followed with a hit to right field, bringing home two more runs to push the lead to 6-2. The inning’s momentum continued as Devers grounded into a fielder’s choice; however, an error by catcher Sánchez allowed Arraez to score, making it 8-2.

Lee then doubled to right, and both Devers and Ramos crossed the plate, extending the margin to 10-2 before the Brewers could record an out.

Pitching Staff Overwhelmed

Milwaukee’s pitchers struggled to find any rhythm throughout the afternoon. Thomas Pannone took the loss after pitching three innings, allowing three hits and two earned runs while striking out two batters. He was followed by Chad Patrick, who pitched two innings and surrendered two more earned runs.

Aaron Ashby entered in relief but could not stem the bleeding, giving up four earned runs on three hits in just one-third of an inning.

Bryse Wilson attempted to stabilize the situation over 1.2 innings but allowed three more earned runs on six hits. Andrew Vaughn finished the game for Milwaukee, pitching a full inning and surrendering three earned runs while walking two batters. The cumulative damage inflicted by the Giants’ lineup left the Brewers’ bullpen with no hope of recovery.

Giants Offense Explodes

San Francisco’s offense was led by Susac, who hit two home runs during the game. His first came in the second inning, a 411-foot blast to center field that scored three runs and gave the Giants an early lead. In the eighth inning, Susac added another home run, this time a 379-foot shot to left-center, providing further separation.

The Giants continued to pile on runs in the seventh inning. Turang singled to left, scoring Lara. Arraez then singled to center, bringing home Gilbert and advancing Koss to third. Although Eldridge grounded into a fielder’s choice, Lee singled to left to score Eldridge and move Ramos to second, making it 13-3.

The final offensive surge came in the eighth inning. After Susac’s second home run, Ramos singled to left, scoring Koss. Cavanaugh then singled to center, driving in Eldridge and finishing the scoring at 16-3.

Final Results and Records

Logan Webb earned the win for San Francisco, pitching six innings and allowing two earned runs on five hits while striking out four batters. He was supported by Sam Hentges (one inning, one earned run), Caleb Kilian (one inning, no earned runs), and Keaton Winn (one inning, no earned runs).

The final score stood at San Francisco Giants 16, Milwaukee Brewers 3. The game drew an attendance of 35,399 at Oracle Park in San Francisco, California. With this result, the San Francisco Giants improved their record to 46-62, while the Milwaukee Brewers fell to 67-41.
