Giants kept off the board
San Francisco was held scoreless Wednesday, August 5, 2026, as Texas used Cody Bradford and four relievers to beat the Giants 6-0 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
Bradford worked 4 1/3 innings for the Rangers, allowing five hits and two walks while striking out five. Tyler Alexander followed with 1 2/3 innings, giving up no hits or walks and striking out three, and earned the win to improve to 2-2.
Texas finished the shutout with Robby Ahlstrom, Chase Silseth and Cole Winn. Ahlstrom allowed one hit and struck out one in one inning. Silseth allowed one hit and one walk with one strikeout in one inning. Winn allowed one hit and did not record a strikeout in one inning.
Texas breaks through in the third
The Rangers scored four times in the bottom of the third. Nimmo singled to right to bring in Langford for a 1-0 lead. Foscue followed with a triple to left, scoring Nimmo and Burger to make it 3-0.
Díaz added a double to left later in the inning, bringing home Foscue and extending the Texas lead to 4-0.
Carson Whisenhunt took the loss for San Francisco, falling to 2-3. He allowed four earned runs on five hits and three walks over 3 1/3 innings, with four strikeouts.
