The San Francisco 49ers signed tight end Jack Stoll to their practice squad after defeating the Los Angeles Rams 27-7 in Australia in Week 1. Clutchpoints.com reported the move, citing NFL Network reporter Mike Garafolo.
Stoll, 28, went undrafted out of Nebraska and began his NFL career with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the New Orleans Saints last season, appearing in 15 games, and has taken part in 76 games over his career. His role has mainly involved blocking.
As a receiver, he has 28 career receptions for 239 yards and one touchdown, which came last season with New Orleans. He has not played in a game during the 2026-27 season.
The 49ers currently have George Kittle, Jake Tonges, Luke Farrell and Brayden Willis on their active roster at tight end. Tonges, listed behind Kittle, suffered a knee injury during the Rams game. It remains uncertain whether Stoll will play in a game for San Francisco.
