The San Francisco 49ers released their initial practice report for the regular season, indicating a favorable injury situation. Out of the 53-man roster, one player was marked as a non-participant, while nine players were listed as limited participants, alongside one fully active player.

Defensive tackle James Thompson Jr. was the sole player absent from practice due to a hamstring issue, which raises some concerns for the rookie. Fortunately, the team's depth should help mitigate the impact of his potential absence for the upcoming game.

Several important players were among those with limited participation, including defensive end Nick Bosa, who is dealing with a knee issue, and tight end George Kittle, who has an Achilles injury. Other players listed as limited include defensive tackle Alfred Collins, linebacker Luke Gifford, cornerback Renardo Green, linebacker Dre Greenlaw, defensive tackle Gracen Halton, defensive end Romello Height, and fullback Kyle Juszczyk.

The limited participation of Bosa and Kittle aligns with the team's strategy to prepare them adequately for the season opener.

Cornerback Upton Stout was the only player reported as a full participant, which is positive news for the team. The 49ers will issue two more practice reports prior to their game against the Rams, providing opportunities for players to enhance their participation levels.
