McConkey was injured late in the third quarter of Sunday's loss to the Cardinals. He took a hard hit while running through the middle of the field and held his chest and back afterward. The Chargers initially described the injury as a chest issue.
The team could provide more information after Monday's evaluation. The report said the precise nature of McConkey's condition was not yet clear. It also identified a possible ribs injury as part of the concern surrounding the additional testing.
