Isas Waxter is set to join the Los Angeles Chargers for Sunday’s game after the team elevated the cornerback from its practice squad. The Chargers announced the move Sept. 19, 2026. The team did not provide details about how Waxter is expected to be used.
Waxter entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with Seattle and joined Los Angeles’ practice squad in 2025. Before that, he played 46 games over five seasons at Villanova from 2019 through 2024.
His college statistics included 108 tackles, with 75 solo, as well as three interceptions and 19 passes defended. He also made one sack, two tackles for loss, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. Waxter was named second-team All-Colonial Athletic Association in 2023.
