The Arizona Cardinals have four players with game statuses for Sunday’s season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium. Isaiah Adams, Dadrion Taylor-Demerson and Garrett Williams will not play, while Jeremiyah Love is questionable because of an ankle injury. Josh Sweat, Blake Gillikin and Will Johnson were full participants Friday.
Los Angeles ruled out cornerback Deane Leonard after he missed all three practices during the week with an abdominal injury. Tuli Tuipulotu is the Chargers’ only questionable player, having been limited Wednesday and Thursday because of a hip issue. The team did not provide further details about his availability.
Keaton Mitchell practiced again after missing six consecutive sessions before Week 1 while dealing with a hamstring issue. He is listed as the No. 2 running back behind Omarion Hampton. Brenen Thompson is also available.
R.J. Mickens is expected to play after his practice work improved from limited Wednesday participation to full sessions Thursday and Friday, and he will contribute at safety and on special teams behind Elijah Molden and Tony Jefferson. Khalil Mack was held out Wednesday for scheduled rest and practiced fully Thursday, with the absence listed as maintenance.
