Three San Francisco 49ers players returned to practice Thursday after missing Wednesday’s session because of Veterans Day. Dre Greenlaw, Christian McCaffrey and Trent Williams were back with the team.
Nick Bosa, however, missed Thursday’s practice and appeared on the injury report with a calf issue. He had been absent Wednesday as part of his usual day off, making Thursday the first change in his injury status. The report gave no additional information about the calf problem.
Bosa has been listed with a knee issue since the 49ers issued their first injury report. Coach Kyle Shanahan has said the team could limit Bosa’s workload this week after a season-ending knee injury. Shanahan is expected to discuss the calf injury further Friday.
Romello Height, who has a hand problem, and Mike Evans, who is dealing with a hip issue, did not practice for a second straight session. Evans reportedly worked separately on the field. Although Evans is in his first season with San Francisco, he is one of the players who could miss the full practice week and still play Sunday.
That possibility had been relevant before several 49ers wide receivers were injured.
