As the Los Angeles Rams gear up for the start of their season, the team is facing uncertainty regarding the potential suspensions of wide receiver Puka Nacua and offensive tackle Alaric Jackson. The NFL has begun concluding investigations and issuing suspensions, including an eight-week ban for James Pearce Jr. last Friday.

While it is unclear if the Rams have received updates on Jackson and Nacua, the league has not made any official announcements about their situations. ESPN’s Adam Schefter noted that both players are currently under review, with Nacua's participation in the Week 1 matchup against the 49ers in doubt.

The timeline for the NFL's decisions remains uncertain, complicating the Rams' preparations. Historical examples, like Von Miller's four-game suspension announced in October 2024, show that the league can take time to finalize such matters. Jackson's case may be resolved more quickly due to recent legal issues, as he was assigned to a pre-filing diversion program after felony domestic battery charges were not pursued.

In contrast, Nacua's ongoing civil process could delay any decision regarding his status until it concludes, leaving the NFL without sufficient grounds to act independently at this time.
