Terrance Ferguson played 36 snaps, or 58% of Los Angeles’ offensive plays, as the Rams beat the New York Giants 28-6 at SoFi Stadium. He caught six of nine passes thrown his way and drew 31% of the team’s targets. Ferguson and Davis Allen began the game together in a two-tight-end set.
The Rams moved Ferguson among inline alignments, the slot and motion packages. He ran a route on more than 70% of his plays and finished the team’s first two games with the most tight-end routes, catches, receiving yards and touchdowns. He also blocked and made plays in coverage, including receptions away from his body followed by additional yardage.
A review identified two drops as an ongoing concern.
Allen played 32 snaps, or 52%, in multiple-tight-end formations and caught both of his short targets. Matthew Stafford had a strong overall game after an uneven opening, moving higher on NFL career lists for touchdown passes, four-touchdown games and 300-yard passing games. Los Angeles rushed for 165 yards at 5.8 yards per carry, while the line allowed one sack and a 15% pressure rate.
Williams and Corum were productive, though fumbles were a concern. Davante Adams led the receiving discussion, Tutu Atwell made a sideline catch before limited involvement, and Aaron Donald returned after a two-year absence. Further special-teams details were not provided.
