Saratoga Symphony Plays a Free All-Russian Program, With Prokofiev's Second Piano Concerto, Oct. 25

The Saratoga Symphony performs music by three Russian composers at a free concert Sunday, Oct. 25, at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.

The concert, titled "From St Petersburg with Love," starts at 3 p.m. at the church, 13601 Saratoga Ave. Doors open at 2 p.m.

The program

  • Anatoly Lyadov: Polonaise, Op. 49
  • Sergei Prokofiev: Piano Concerto No. 2, with Daniel Glover as soloist
  • Alexander Glazunov: Symphony No. 2

Music director Dr. Jason Klein introduces each piece before the orchestra plays it, which the symphony says adds an educational element to the concert.

If you go

Admission is free, and no tickets or reservations are needed. Seating in the church is open, children are welcome, the church is wheelchair accessible, and parking is free. The orchestra accepts donations.
