Stanford welcomes the ITA Northwest Regional Championships back to campus Thursday, Oct. 8, giving South Bay tennis followers a nearby tournament with spots in November’s NCAA individual championships at stake.

The women’s event runs through Tuesday, Oct. 13, at the Arrillaga Tennis Center. The two singles finalists and winning doubles team will qualify for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships, scheduled for Nov. 17–22 in Athens, Georgia, according to Stanford’s Oct. 7 preview.

Stanford has six entrants competing in both singles and doubles. All six are scheduled to begin singles play in Friday’s main draw. One Cardinal doubles team opens Thursday at 9 a.m. Pacific; the other two have byes and start Friday.

This is the regional’s first visit to Stanford since 2023. Cal hosted the previous two editions while the Arrillaga Tennis Center was under construction.
