Alyssa Ahn secured a place in next month’s NCAA singles championship for Stanford on Monday, October 12, winning her semifinal at the ITA Northwest Regional tournament on campus.

Ahn beat her Washington opponent 6–2, 6–2 to complete five victories over four days without dropping a set. Both regional finalists qualified for the national tournament, so the scheduled Tuesday final will not be played.

The NCAA Individual Championships run November 17–22 in Athens, Georgia. Monday’s result gives Stanford a confirmed singles representative before the remaining qualifying events in early November.

There was depth behind Ahn’s run. Another Cardinal reached the singles quarterfinals, and two more reached the round of 16. Stanford also sent two doubles teams to the quarterfinals.

Stanford hosted the regional for the first time since 2023. For the rest of the squad, the next qualification opportunities are the ITA West Sectional Championships and ITA Conference Masters, both scheduled for November 5–8.
