Among the measures enacted is Assembly Bill 2409, authored by Assemblymember Avelino Valencia, which explicitly forbids California elected officials and civil servants from launching digital meme tokens or allowing commercial platforms to market crypto assets utilizing a public official's image or likeness. Companion measure Senate Bill 1208, introduced by Senator Tim Grayson, grants statutory authority for state law enforcement agencies to confiscate cryptocurrency assets tied to transnational criminal syndicates while defining formal restitution avenues for residents defrauded through digital asset scams.

Additional statutes, including the California Restaurant Reservation AntiPiracy Act under Assembly Bill 1640 and Assembly Bill 1954 for municipal golf courses, prohibit automated brokers and third-party scalpers from capturing public reservations to resell at markup.
