Athletics Take Lead in Third
The Seattle Mariners held a two-run lead after the second inning, but the Athletics erased the deficit and took the lead in the third. The away team exploded for four home runs in that frame. Matt Muncy led off with a solo shot to left, followed by a solo home run from Williams. McNeil added a two-run homer to right, driving in Bolte, before Gelof hit a solo shot to left. The Mariners answered with a run of their own in the bottom of the third, but the Athletics maintained the lead after the inning ended.
