Scoring Sequence

The Athletics tied the game at 3-3 in the sixth inning when Brandon Drago homered to center, driving home two runs. However, the home team took the lead in the same frame when Matt Olson homered to right. The Athletics extended their advantage in the seventh inning with a solo home run to center by Chris Colabello. In the eighth inning, the Rangers scored one run on a fielder's choice, but the Athletics added two more runs on a double by Matt Olson to close out the scoring at 8-3.
Pitching Struggles
For the Rangers, Kumar Rocker pitched five innings, allowing four hits and three earned runs while walking five batters and striking out three. Chase Silseth took the loss, pitching one inning and allowing one hit and one earned run. Robby Ahlstrom pitched one inning, allowing one hit and one earned run. Tyler Alexander pitched one-third of an inning, allowing three hits and two earned runs. Marco Gonzales pitched two-thirds of an inning without allowing hits or runs.
