Back to School: When Saratoga Students Return in 2026 and the Key Dates to Know

Summer is winding down, and classes are about to resume for students across Saratoga. Here is when the new school year begins and the key dates families will want to mark, based on each district's official 2026-27 calendar.

Most of Saratoga is served by Saratoga Union School District, where students return Thursday, August 13, 2026. The year runs through June 4, 2027.

Saratoga's schools are split between an elementary (K-8) district and a high school district, which start a day apart.

Because Saratoga spans more than one district, students in some areas start on different days:

• Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District: Wednesday, August 12, 2026 (serving grades 9-12)
