Saratoga, California — Gas prices in the San Jose area averaged $5.4030 per gallon for regular unleaded on July 13, 2026, according to AAA, unchanged from $5.4030 yesterday. That is up from $5.3970 a week ago but lower than $5.7660 a month ago.
The statewide average in California stands at $5.3880, while the national average is $3.8720. Drivers in the San Jose area are paying above the state average and above the national average.
The San Jose average remains below its AAA recorded high of $6.5490. Regular prices are about 36 cents lower than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $4.5410, drivers are paying about 86 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the San Jose area averages $6.5150 per gallon, AAA reported.
