Angels Fight Back in Extra Innings
The Los Angeles Angels demonstrated significant resilience in their contest against the Texas Rangers, staging a dramatic rally that ultimately fell just short of the winning margin. While the visiting Rangers secured a 4-1 victory on Tuesday at Angel Stadium, the home team’s late-inning surge kept the outcome uncertain until the final out.
The game began with the Angels seizing early momentum. In the first inning, Trout launched a 418-foot home run to center field, providing Los Angeles with a 1-0 lead that stood through three frames of play.
Texas answered in the fourth inning to level the contest. Díaz delivered a single to left field, driving in Duran from second base while Nimmo advanced to second. The tying run made the score 1-1 heading into the middle innings.
Rangers Strike Again in the Tenth
The game remained deadlocked until the top of the tenth inning. Nimmo broke the tie with a single to right field, scoring Lopez and putting Seager on second base. This gave Texas a 2-1 advantage.
The Rangers immediately extended their lead later in the same inning. Burger singled to right field, allowing Langford and Seager to score from third and second, respectively. Nimmo advanced to second as the play concluded. The two-run burst pushed the Texas lead to 4-1, a margin the Angels could not overcome despite their earlier efforts.
