Rodriguez Anchors Arizona Victory

Eduardo Rodriguez delivered a masterful performance on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings to lead the Arizona Diamondbacks to a 4-2 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers at Chase Field. The win improved Arizona’s record to 63-56, while the Dodgers dropped to 70-48.

Rodriguez allowed five hits and two earned runs while issuing two walks. His ability to keep the Dodgers' lineup off balance was the primary factor in Arizona’s success. He was supported by a bullpen that held Los Angeles scoreless in the final two innings.

Taylor Clarke pitched the eighth inning, allowing one hit but no runs or walks, earning the save situation hold. Kevin Ginkel closed out the game in the ninth, recording two strikeouts without allowing a hit or walk to secure the save.

Dodgers Take Early Lead

The Dodgers jumped out to an early advantage in the first inning. Christian Walker drove in two runs when Ketel Marte homered to left field, a 385-foot shot that gave Los Angeles a 2-0 lead. The momentum continued into the second inning, where the Dodgers added another run.
