Late Inning Heroics Seal Victory
The Atlanta Braves overcame a resilient Los Angeles Dodgers pitching effort to claim a 4-3 victory at Truist Park on Tuesday. The game remained tight through seven innings before Albies provided the decisive blow in the eighth inning, driving in the go-ahead run that proved sufficient for the home crowd.
Early Exchange Sets Tone
Los Angeles struck first in the top of the opening frame. Dubón reached base and advanced on a single by Baldwin, who scored to give the Dodgers an early 1-0 lead. The pressure continued as Harris II singled to right, allowing Olson to score and extending the advantage to 2-0.
Albies then hit a sacrifice fly to center, scoring Dubón and pushing the margin to 3-0.
Atlanta responded in the bottom of the second inning. Thomas singled to right, bringing Edman home for the first run of the game. Feduccia followed with a single to left, scoring Tucker and making it 2-3. The Dodgers held their ground until the fourth inning when Call singled to center, allowing Edman to score and tying the contest at 3-3.
Pitching Duel Dominates Early Frames
Tyler Glasnow started for Los Angeles, delivering a strong performance despite taking the loss. He pitched five innings, allowing six hits and three earned runs while striking out seven batters without issuing a walk.
For Atlanta, Bryce Elder matched Glasnow’s intensity over six innings. He surrendered eight hits and three earned runs but also kept the Dodgers off balance with five strikeouts and no walks. The Braves’ bullpen maintained the tie after Elder exited.
