Three killed in Saratoga BMW crash on Route 9

A 2024 BMW left the road near Saratoga Monday night, killing the driver and two passengers.

Three individuals lost their lives when a vehicle departed State Route 9 near Saratoga on Monday evening. The California Highway Patrol confirmed the incident occurred around 9:36 p.m. west of Redwood Gulch Road.

Preliminary reports indicate the 2024 BMW was traveling eastbound when the operator lost control, causing the car to descend a steep embankment. The driver, identified by the Santa Clara County medical examiner as 21-year-old Manjot Dhaliwal of Yuba City, died at the scene. His passengers, 27-year-old Manjot Dhaliwal of Salem, Oregon, and 17-year-old Ranvir Randhawa of San Jose, also perished. The identity of the third victim remains pending.

Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the accident. Investigators are requesting that anyone with relevant information contact the CHP San Jose-area office at (408) 961-0903.
