Crews located the wreckage of a 49-foot cabin cruiser named Volare in San Francisco Bay on Friday. The vessel sank earlier in the week, prompting a search by the San Francisco Police Department's Marine Unit, which utilized boat-mounted sonar to find the wreckage near the site of the sinking on Tuesday afternoon.

Following the discovery, crews transitioned to using a remotely operated vehicle to further inspect the wreck. Authorities are planning to work with partner agencies to assess recovery options and evaluate the safety and feasibility of retrieving the wreckage. Details regarding the recovery process remain unclear at this time. Pleasanton is about 29 miles north of Saratoga.
