Saratoga is launching its Independence Day observances with Saratoga Nights, which begins July 2 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Village Center parking lot. This monthly series continues on the first Thursday of each month through October, offering live music, beverage gardens, local food, and family activities.

The city is also marking 16 years of the America the Beautiful initiative by decorating the Village with red, white, and blue items throughout July. Organized by Patricia Himel and Laurel Perusa and sponsored by the Saratoga Village Development Council, the project invites community participation. Patriotic supplies are available at the Fat Robin, located at 14429 Big Basin Way.

The primary holiday gathering occurs July 4 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Kevin Moran Park. The free event includes a children’s parade, performances by the McCartysville Band, group singing, and a historical presentation titled Voices of Freedom. Free popsicles are provided, and shaded seating is available for seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Other upcoming activities include a screening of Zootopia 2 at El Quito Park on July 10, Mayor Chuck Page’s office hours at the Farmers’ Market on July 11, and a coffee meeting with the mayor at a local Starbucks on July 17. Additional events include luncheons at Montalvo, the Saratoga Classic, a Cool Car Show on July 26, and the city’s 70th anniversary celebration on August 22.
