Three Victims Named in Fatal Saratoga Highway 9 Crash

Authorities have identified the 17-year-old and two adults killed when their BMW left Highway 9 near Saratoga in late June.

The Santa Clara County Office of the Medical Examiner-Coroner has confirmed the identities of three individuals who died in a traffic collision on Highway 9 near Saratoga. The victims are Ranvir Randhawa, 17, of San Jose; Manjot Dhaliwal, 21, of Yuba City; and Ajesh Saini, 27, of Salem, Oregon.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the group was traveling in a 2024 BMW M3 around 9:30 p.m. on June 22 when the vehicle departed the roadway east of Redwood Gulch Road and tumbled down an embankment. Investigators believe the driver lost control at some point, though the specific cause of the accident is still being determined.

The crash closed the highway for approximately three hours while officials processed the scene. Further details regarding the investigation remain unclear.
