Saratoga will hold its annual Independence Day celebration on Saturday, July 4, 2026. The free, family-oriented event takes place at Kevin Moran Park, located at 12415 Scully Ave, Saratoga, CA. The festivities run from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM.

The program begins with a pre-program band concert from 9:15 AM to 10:00 AM. The all-volunteer McCartysville Band will perform jaunty, patriotic tunes. The main program runs from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Activities include a color guard presentation, a veterans salute, audience-participation choir and band songs, and a Voices of Freedom historical characters pageant.

At 11:00 AM, a short family parade will circle the park to the beat of Sousa marches from the band. Free popsicles will be provided for children after the parade concludes.

Residents are encouraged to bring blankets or folding chairs. Seating is available under the trees for shade or on the lawn. The city provides shade and chairs for seniors and individuals with disabilities. Free water, popsicles, and flags are also available at the event.

Street parking at the park is limited. Additional parking is available at or near Blue Hills Elementary School or on Goleta Ave. From Goleta Ave, attendees can walk over Highway 85 using the footbridge that connects Azule Park and Kevin Moran Park.

The event is described as a small-town, old-fashioned patriotic celebration of the nation's founding. Information and flyers are available on the villageband.com website for those wishing to share details with others.
