49ers Add Defensive Lineman Evan Anderson on One-Year Contract

The 49ers have signed Evan Anderson, waiving defensive lineman Titus Leo in the process.

The San Francisco 49ers have officially signed defensive lineman Evan Anderson to a one-year contract. This move comes as the team waived fellow defensive lineman Titus Leo due to injury.

Evan Anderson, standing 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 326 pounds, began his NFL journey as an undrafted free agent with the 49ers on May 6, 2024. Throughout his two seasons with the team, he participated in 12 games, starting one, and recorded a total of 24 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.

In 2025, he was on the practice squad before being waived on July 26, 2026.

At just 24 years old, Anderson is originally from Orlando, Florida, and played college football at Florida Atlantic University from 2020 to 2023. During his college career, he appeared in 39 games, achieving 145 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, seven sacks, three fumble recoveries, and two passes defended, earning Third-Team All-AAC honors in 2023.

Titus Leo, who is 6 feet 3 inches and weighs 245 pounds, was signed by the 49ers on August 2, 2026. No additional information has been provided regarding his waiver status.
