The San Francisco 49ers added defensive lineman Matthew Judon to their practice squad on Sept. 29, 2026. The team released no additional information about the signing.
Judon, 34, has played 145 regular-season games across a 10-year NFL career, including 100 starts. His career totals include 423 tackles, 72 sacks, 20 passes defended, nine forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries and one interception returned for a touchdown. He has played for the Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots, Atlanta Falcons, Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills.
Baltimore drafted him 146th overall in the fifth round in 2016. He is listed at 6 feet 3 inches and 265 pounds.
Judon earned Pro Bowl honors four times between 2020 and 2023. In five postseason games, including three starts, he recorded 14 tackles, one sack and one forced fumble. Before joining the NFL, he spent six seasons at Grand Valley State University, appearing in 42 games and starting 32 from 2010 through 2015.
He finished his college career with 204 tackles, 35 sacks, eight passes defended, eight forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and one interception.
