Cal football’s 2027 Atlantic Coast Conference schedule will include home games against Boston College, Florida State, Louisville and SMU. The Bears’ road opponents are Georgia Tech, Miami, Pitt, Stanford and Wake Forest. The ACC released the matchups Wednesday, but game dates and starting times have not been announced.
The visit to Georgia Tech will be Cal’s first matchup with the Yellow Jackets since joining the ACC in 2024. It also will give Cal games against each of the conference’s other 16 football teams.
Boston College and Cal have each won once in two meetings, including Cal’s 28-24 victory at Boston College last season on a 51-yard touchdown from Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele to Mason Mini with 1:30 remaining. The 2027 contest will be Boston College’s first at California Memorial Stadium.
Florida State and Louisville also will play at Memorial Stadium for the first time. Florida State won the teams’ only prior game, 14-9 in 2024, while Cal took a 29-26 overtime decision at Louisville last season after Sagapolutele threw a 3-yard touchdown to Jacob De Jesus. SMU leads the series 2-1, but Cal won the latest meeting, 38-35 at Memorial Stadium last season.
Sagapolutele threw for 330 yards and four touchdowns. Cal will visit SMU in Dallas on Oct. 24 this season. The nonconference schedule includes Sacramento State on Aug. 28, UCLA on Sept. 4 and Old Dominion on Sept. 11.
