The running back group is projected to include Omarion Hampton, Keaton Mitchell, and Kimani Vidal, while Jaret Patterson, Amar Johnson, and Gregory Desrosiers are anticipated to be cut.
Desrosiers had an impressive showing against the Rams, rushing for 118 yards on nine carries, which may earn him a practice squad spot.
The receiving corps is expected to feature Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston, Tre’ Harris, Brenen Thompson, KeAndre Lambert-Smith, and Derius Davis, with Davis’s skills as a return specialist playing a crucial role. On the offensive line, the projected roster includes Rashawn Slater, Kayode Awosika, and others, while Isaiah World is likely to be placed on the reserve/non-football injury list due to a knee issue.
Defensively, the Chargers are set to retain five players on the defensive line and four edge rushers, including Khalil Mack.
