Washington's 2033 football schedule now includes a Sept. 17 home matchup with San Jose State at Husky Stadium in Seattle. The game is expected to be played during the season's third week. It will be the programs' 11th meeting and their first since 2006.
Washington won each of the previous 10, including a 35-29 victory in the most recent game. Isaiah Stanback accounted for 168 passing yards, one passing touchdown, 102 rushing yards and another score.
The Huskies are projected to have five home dates and four away games in Big Ten play in 2033, though the conference has not yet identified those opponents. Washington and Oregon are set to receive full Big Ten media-rights shares beginning in 2030-31. Washington collected $46.7 million from the conference in 2024-25, while schools receiving full shares averaged $79.9 million.
San Jose State is the first opponent announced on Washington's schedule after 2030. The 2027 nonconference slate has Fresno State and Portland State at home and Washington State on the road for an Apple Cup game. In 2028, Washington is scheduled to host Eastern Washington, UNLV and Washington State.
Tennessee will host the Huskies in 2029, with Boise State visiting, while Tennessee and Hawaii are scheduled to visit in 2030. The current Apple Cup agreement ends after 2028, and no future continuation has been announced. Jedd Fisch's contract runs through 2030; remaining through 2033 would make it his 10th season.
The report also says 2029 high school sophomores would be in their fifth and final eligibility seasons, while current sixth graders would start college that year. Washington opens Big Ten play Saturday when Minnesota visits Montlake at 8 p.m. Pacific time.
