Saratoga, California — The Warriors have retained center Charles Bassey, announcing a new contract with the five-year NBA veteran on July 9.
Golden State did not release financial terms. A Warriors Wire report attributed to ESPN’s Shams Charania described the deal as a one-year agreement.
Bassey played five games for Golden State last season after arriving late in the year. In those outings, the club reported averages of 10.6 points and 7.2 rebounds in 20.1 minutes per game, along with 1.4 blocks.
The 6-foot-10 center also spent part of 2025-26 with Santa Cruz in the G League. Golden State said he posted 20.4 points and 12.0 rebounds per game over 17 appearances there.
