The Campbell Historical Museum has announced a series of free community events for mid-July, beginning with Family Fun Friday on July 17. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and features various crafts and activities designed for different age groups. Attendees may arrive at any time during the scheduled hours, though participation is limited by the availability of supplies. Registration is not required, but the museum requests that families RSVP via a provided online link.

The following day, Saturday, July 18, the museum will host Free Museum Day. This event also takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes access to the Campbell Historical Museum and the Ainsley House. Visitors can explore interactive exhibits, learn about local history, and tour the historic residence. RSVPs for this event are also requested through a separate online link.

Campbell is about 4 miles east of Saratoga.

In addition to the museum events, the Campbell Library is organizing a program to celebrate America 250. A game night focused on United States history and geography is scheduled for July 14 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The library describes the program as family-friendly and states that no registration is necessary.

The Stanford Blood Center is also conducting a donation campaign in the area. Donors who give blood this month at mobile drives or centers, including the South Bay Donor Center in Campbell, will receive a tie-dye t-shirt. The center has stated there is an immediate need for all blood types, with particular emphasis on O-negative and O-positive.

Potential donors must be at least 17 years old, or 16 with parental consent. Individuals must be in good health and free of cold, flu, or COVID-19 symptoms. A photo ID is required for participation. Appointments can be made through the Stanford Blood Center website, by phone, or by text, though walk-ins are accepted.

Details regarding the specific crafts for the Family Fun Friday event or the exact games featured at the library program are not yet clear. Further information about the tie-dye shirt design or the specific dates of the mobile blood drives is not provided in the source material.
