Milwaukee took an early lead in the second inning when Christian Yelich homered to left field, a 372-foot shot that gave the Brewers a 1-0 advantage. However, the momentum shifted in the third inning. Yordan Alvarez singled to center field, allowing Adolis García to score on a fielding error by Brewers center fielder Jackson Chourio.
Alvarez advanced to third on the throw. Later in the frame, Fernando Tatis Jr. launched a 415-foot home run to left field, cutting the deficit to 2-1.
The game remained tied at 2-2 until the eighth inning. Juan Soto reached on an infield single to first base, allowing Luis Robert Jr. to score. Soto advanced to second as Jo Adell moved to third. The tension persisted through the middle innings until the 11th.
