The New York Mets secured a 2-1 victory over the San Diego Padres on Monday, August 17, at Citi Field in Queens, New York. The home team managed to outscore the visitors despite allowing two runs in the first inning, ultimately holding on for the win in front of a crowd of 27,842 fans.
