Saratoga law enforcement has addressed several incidents over the past week, ranging from property theft to drug-related arrests. The most significant financial loss occurred during a residential burglary in the 12000 block of Scully Avenue.

Between August 1 and August 5, an individual entered the garage of a home through an unlocked door. Inside the garage, the suspect opened a refrigerator and removed food items along with multiple bottles of wine. The total value of the stolen goods was estimated at approximately $260.

On the evening of August 8, police responded to a vandalism report at Casa Lupe Real restaurant, located on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road. At 6:40 p.m., a known suspect broke the mirror of a vehicle parked at the establishment. The damage was valued at roughly $5.

In a separate incident, deputies arrested a suspect following a call regarding a suspicious person in the 12000 block of De Sanka Avenue. The arrest occurred at 10:13 p.m. on August 5. Investigators determined the individual was under the influence of drugs and possessed methamphetamine along with drug paraphernalia. The suspect was booked into the main jail.

A Saratoga resident also reported a case of fraudulent license plate use. After discarding temporary plates upon receiving permanent registration, the owner discovered someone had placed those temporary plates on a different vehicle. That vehicle received a citation using the stolen plates. No financial loss was reported in this instance.

Details regarding further investigations or additional suspects are not yet clear.
